Google Analytics Workshop, Click Tracking Secrets

By default Google Analytics tracks user interactions with a website through measuring page views. However there are cases that you need to measure click events, and if there is no page view happening after that, there will be no data collected by GATC. In this workshop you will learn and practice how to hack Google Analytics to setup click tracking.

This technique is very helpful when you need to measure number of clicks on a specific external link on your website, mostly to track exit links, and form submissions. Measuring file download is another application of this technique, an easy and quick solution to see how many time a link to a file has been clicked on your website.

ThisĀ is a free event (see note), but you need registration to attend.
